Title Sequence / Motion Design Studio / OSU
Creating the title sequence for the "Mindfuck" series was a rewarding journey. I started by
sketching key moments from the books, focusing on scenes that encapsulated the themes of
manipulation and emotional connections.
Next, I designed backgrounds that enhanced the dark, psychological tone of the series,
experimenting with various color palettes to convey mood. Once the frames and backgrounds were
set, the challenge was to sync them with the soundtrack, “Turn the Lights Off” by Lovebirds. I
carefully timed transitions to align with the rhythm, ensuring a smooth flow that captured the
narrative’s essence.
After multiple revisions, the final sequence came together, successfully depicting the
characters and themes. It was gratifying to create an introduction that draws viewers into C.J.
Roberts's complex world, allowing them to feel the characters' struggles and triumphs right from the
start.
