App Design / Interaction Design 1 / OSU
For my final project in Interaction 1, I envisioned an app that transforms the way people engage with farmers' markets in their communities. This app is designed not just to assist users in locating nearby markets but to elevate their entire experience of shopping local and fresh.
Imagine a seamless interface that greets you as you open the app, allowing you to easily dive into a world of fresh produce and artisan goods. Users can customize their experience through preference settings, letting them select their favorite types of products—whether it's organic vegetables, homemade jams, or artisan cheeses.
Using GPS technology, the app intelligently maps out nearby farmers' markets, displaying real-time information about vendors, their offerings, and even their hours of operation. With just a few taps, you can explore different markets and discover new local vendors you might not have known about before.
When you find what you’re looking for, ordering becomes effortless. The app provides a simple, user-friendly interface that guides you through the purchasing process, allowing you to select items directly from vendors and even schedule pick-up times to ensure your experience is as convenient as possible.
This app not only connects users with fresh, local food but also fosters a sense of community by supporting local farmers and artisans. It’s more than just an app; it’s a journey into the heart of local agriculture, making shopping for fresh produce a delightful and fulfilling experience.
